S3 EFI on S5 short block QUESTIONS

S3 EFI on S5 short block QUESTIONS
GSL-SE intermediate and rear irons have raised cracks from freezing on the combustion surfaces. I want to replace the short block with a spare S5 I have available. I know the front cover and oilpan from the gsl-se is to be used for this application.
Those with first hand knowledge of any of my questions please reply with the question number you are submitting a response to with any issues and remedies. I am looking only to replace the bad short block in this car. No replys about S5 intake swaps unless the LIM would help matching issues.
1) Any matching issues for intake or exhaust manifolds?
2) Anything used from S3 short block (weight, flywheel)?
3) Any pros/cons of ussing S5 short block?
