S2 vs S3 A pillar trim differences

I'm looking at this site: http://www.gaugepods.com/mazda.html
They offer a full A pillar 2 gauge pod, but not one for the 83 and earlier (big suprise ) How different are the two A pillar pieces, and has anyone modified the S3 one to fit a S2? It's been a while since I got a close look at a 84/85 and I can't remember. I assume the difference is at the bottom where it meets the dash. Anyone have any ideas?

You are correct.

On the same topic - Does anyone have a picture of their LOTEK gauge pod
installed? I want to see how it looks, and if the angles are good.

I used a generic one on mine. I had to do a little trimming and a little heat shaping, but I think it looks good.

That site I have the link to has a listing for the S2 cars, but its only a add on to the current a pillar, guess I could mold it in somehow, seems like it might be easier to modify the bottom of the S3 part for the S2 dash though... might look better in the end. I'm not even a huge fan of A pillar gauges but I'm running out of room elsewhere
