IL S1 to S2 Interior Swap

Morning guys, I tried to search but came up with no clear answer. I have a 79 RX7 the interior is shot. I found a FB at a scrap yard. Would the S2 interior fit my 79 properly? Iam more concerned with the center console and gauge cluster fitting and working properly. Also, my 79 has a disc brake conversion but my E-brake cable is broken would the FB's e-brake fit? Thanks In Advance.

Most parts should swap over rather easily. I dont think the gauge clusters will swap though. I remember reading that their is something different in them. It will fit but will cause electrical problems. Are you wanting to swap the dash? The center console should swap. I am currently debating swapping in a S2 center console into my S1. I have a FB tranny and may do it for fitment, but I dont really need to. I have all of the parts and have test fitted it. The shifter surround fits nice, but on the top left side where its close to the steering wheel, may need to be trimmed. The S1 is flat right there, but the S2 has an indention and so it doesnt sit flush. If I do the swap I plan on cutting that section off of both surrounds and mating the S1 section to the S2 surround. The bad part is that theyre two different kinds of material, so it wont look right. That's why I will probably stay with the S1 surround unless I just have to swap.

On the e-brake cable, it all depends which cable is broken. If it is the long main one, it should work. The only main differences, IIRC, are the ones that actually go back to the calipers.
