Ferris Bueller's Day Off, an FB is in the background while they are driving on Lake Shore Drive. On the fakey screen through the back window. Must have been on a loop, because it is there, then gone, then back as they cut back and forth.

My 13 year old loves our FB and is great at spotting them. He saw the Die Hard one a couple of years ago. Texted me this one from a movie where a guy takes it to a drive in diner. Didn't know the name.

 

 

I think it is the same FB in all those pics. Must be from the Hollywood prop yard.

Just watched "Absence of Malice" released in 1981 (Paul Newman and Sally Fields) this past weekend and a 1981 RX7 GSL is in three different scenes in the movie. It's Sally Field's car and she plays a reporter for a Miami newspaper.

 

Thought I would jump in on this.
My little brother has been watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers recently, the first 3 seasons, and occasionally when I would be sitting down with him, they had this transition shot they would use quite frequently, and in that shot someone is getting out of an FB haha.

Watching Office Space the other night and was like "Fk Yeah, there's that red FD!"
Almost forgot it was in the film.

 

Dropped by our local tuner shop yesterday and there was a crew there filming scenes with a GTR for a television special

I said. "you want an "FD" in the shot?"; and they said, "as a matter of fact"......

So at 5:30 this morning, in the pissing rain, I found myself swapping positions with a Ferrari Portofino on a Touge run in the local mountains.

Quite the experience.

The show is for the Chinese market, so I may never know if my scene will be cut or not.

But in my mind, this is what it will look like:

there is a scene in the beginning where they are playing football in the square and there are a couple of Rx7's driving around (and Tim Robbins has a Volvo Amazon)
the rest of the movie is good too
