Unhappy RX7 Vs Car Door

Here are some pics of my RX7 SII '82 after some moron decided he would open his door without looking while I was driving past at 50kmph.
I haven't posted good pics yet cos she is still a bit of a dog atm. Now she is just a little bit worse.
It's off-white with pearlescent blue...it still looked pretty sweet until this happened.

Peace.

Ouch! Do they still have the law there that you cannot drive with your elbow sticking out of the window?

Yeah, but we also have the law of sitting on the right as we drive
In australia he hit my passenger door :P

The law also states BOTH hands have to be on the steering wheel, unless your changing gears, how cool is Australia!

When I was there I was more worried about hitting Kangaroos :-)

I had always figured the law about your arm or elbow was directed at the passenger side because of some of the very narrow roads.

LOL, I have only ever hit one kangaroo in my Dad's Alfa Romeo 156, it was a small grey and it took the tiniest chip out of the paint. Hitting a big red in an RX7 would more than likely mean death for both kangaroo and driver :P

It does apply to both sides....I'm pretty sure it's just another law to give the pigs one more reason to easily pull you over and give you a hard time/revenue raising.

I hope that you are able to get her repaired back to new again.

Make sure that they repaint the whole car. This way you could look at this experience as a positive one. :-)

The guys fully insured and it was 100% his fault, even the cops say so. Because it's pearlescant it needs a full respray....i'll pay for the little bits of rust to be removed and whammo I'll have a better car than I started with.
If the insurance company decides to screw me, my gf happens to be a law student and knows enough to win

I'll defenitely be posting pics once she is sexy as...and i'll be waiting for the flamage for my rear spoiler :P

Not meaning to hijack the thread but are there any companies in Oz offering a RHD version of the rack and pinion conversion like the sexy one Re-Speed do for the left hookers? I'm in the UK and have an FB that desperatly needs it!!

Best wishes
