Rx7 s3 compression problems

So ive asked this elsewhere in this forum, but thought id bring it to the 1st gen forum for a little more advice

tl;dr got a rx7 lined up for tomorrow or thursday and need advice, it has low compression, but can be manually started, it can be driven to get compression back up (apparently), oil isnt connected to carby and is running premix fuel.

that, is the new twitch mobile, potentially, i just got off the phone with the owner, he said that it has a) low compression and wont key start, but will pull/clutch or any other form of manual start, b) it just needs to go for a long drive (100-150kms) to get the compression back up to a point where i can start it c) the oil lines arent connected to the carby (they are to the pump and everything else) carby has been clampped/blocked so there is no air bubbles, the brakes and body are in good nick, bit of rust on the body, in the sills where the normal bits are, nothing major or defectable and easily repariable, the owner has let the rego run out, but not expire (woo weird perth rules) and hence does not need a pit report (thank ****) its been bridgeported from a rx4 13b, and finally, he is running pre mix, in a 40 litre tank, at 100mls to a full tank, does that ratio sound right, or should it be increased/decreased, he said something about the oil pump being one that draws oil from the sump (cant remember its name/type lol)

Low compression readings don't necessarily mean that the engine is bad. Flooding, carbon buildup, etc. will all affect compression readings. It might not need anything more than a good soaking in Seafoam for a couple of days, followed up with a good run to blow everything out. The first time you take it to the redline, you'll probably see a huge cloud of black smoke shoot out the exhaust (did with mine).

The mileage on the engine will be the real indicator of whether or not you are really dealing with low compression due to worn parts. Good luck.
