Rx7 Runs! 1st time in years

The story: so we got spark all going, i knew the engine was flooded so i took out the plugs and cranked. gas went out and i let it sit to let it dry. later then i put oil in the leading holes to build compression and put the plugs back in. cranked it like 4 times and nothing. so i had my dad come out and work the choke and gas in the engine while i started it. it was beggin to start, on our last try it worked and smoke fills the building. we keep gas on for a lil and then let off. the whole building is smoke. i realized then how much i love rotarys. And it still runs like a champ.

Slave cylinder is straight forward. In my signature is the link for the FSM. Down load a copy and follow the FSM instructions.

I hope you are skinny and can crawl under the dash easily if you change either the master brake or clutch.... It was a PITA for me to crawl under when i changed mine.

My autocross car needed a new brake booster, brake master and clutch master!!

Take the driver's seat out first; only 4 bolts, and makes it a LOT easier. not 'easy,' but easier.
That way, you can lay on the floorboards and put your legs back in the hatch space.

lol. Just put the car up on jackstands, as high as you can get it. Then you can kneel outside the car and reach up under there. Clutch master cylinder swapped in ten minutes that way. Sure beats trying to stand on your head.

Now, all you need is that third elbow that lets your arm bend midway between elbow and wrist, heh. Tiny Japanese assemblers...

Thanks bro, was the linkage on your carb seized? I lubricated my carb entirely and none of my linkage seems to want to even try to move. Do you have any pics of your car?

we didnt really do anything to my carb, just sprayed some carb cleaner in it and i renewed all fluids and filters. we also replaced the starter and did some re-wiring because the leading spark plugs didnt get spark. everything seemed to work real good. ive started it up everyday since it began to run. here are some pics

here is the link to the album, alot of pics.
