18 now, but was 17 when I bought my first RX-7. However, it later turned into a parts car for my '82 GX which I bought when I turned 18 [11-30]. And the '82 is now the car that I drive.

20 years old here, been into rx-7's for about 2.5 years
my first one was a base model 81 auto that was converted to a 5 speed, -se suspension/rearend, sp 12a witha t-04 blowthrough turbo setup (may she RIP )
second one was a gsl-se parts car (also rip)
3rd was an 87 fc3s that i payed 400 bucks for, came across a local with a gsl-se for sale and traded him straight across
currently have the 85 gsl-se, have been working on her alot, restored the interior, did some weight reduction, basic intake, exhaust, emissions/ac removal..
turbocharging her after winters over

Well,
I posted in this thread a few years back, but what the hell...
I'm Spencer, I'm 25 and I drive an '85 GSL-SE,
It's my second RX (both -SE's), and it's now on it's second motor.
My wife Sarah (forum member Sarita) drives an '85 S (base) and is 23...
My Daughter Lara is almost 19 months old, and only gets to drive my 1/24 scale FD model...

Who can follow Bob's post?
Im 17 (nearly 18) I have an 84 GSL. Bought it from the original owner at the start of last summer with just a tick over 106,000mi on a stock car. He was the original owner, bought if new in 83 and babied it to pieces with 3 different repaints! I didn't ask his age, but he was old enough to have 2 daughters married and out of college.
Just shows that the rex can cross all generation gaps b/c of its own age and its many enthusiasts and fanatics .

I'm 46. Drove my first in 1980, it looked just like the '80 for sale "collectors Dream" w/ 61,000 miles driven by the mother in law. That bright gold was awesome. Bought my first in '84 a junky '79 and then an '83 in '86. Had my first "real" job and didn't like the body style change. I am just getting back into these after 2 kids, they are 9 and 7 now, and I want them to learn to appreciate the the beauty of the RX-7.
