Rx7 83 door

Helll I am new to cars and especially rotary to begin with, this is my first car, I know some things about it as past week I’ve looked up plenty of things about it to learn it, I am curious about my driver side door, it is not all the way in and I have tried to push it in it just don’t seem to fit, I see metal clips that go into holes and it seems like they go into them but won’t stay? Any suggestions

I suppose you are asking about the door panel? If so, maybe the door clips are worn out? Or maybe the receiving portion of the door clip is worn. I'm sure you should be able to find replacements locally. I don't remember what the clips look like so I can't provide any part numbers or anything. I guess I could look in a parts book, though.

Start by looking under the hood and under the car. Pop the hood and see if you can find any wet oil on the top, sides or front of the motor. There's an oil cooler and filter on the driver's side top. Drive the car up on ramps (or use jack stands) and look for leaks underneath. The oil pan gasket could be leaking, or several other spots. When you find where it's wettest, take some pictures and post them here.

Oil cooler, oil pan, and oil metering pump are all suspect. You might have a front mount oil cooler or a beehive. It just depends on when it was made. More than lickey a front mount. The beehive has a couple of seals that can go out. It's also not uncommon for the oil filter area to have left over spilled oil from oil changes.

Give everything a good soaking with degreaser and rinse. Stay away from the big electrical parts like the dizzy and alt. This will help isolate the leak.

Hard to tell from the picture where that is. But it can have a bad boot and still have a good spherical joint. You need to check for play with the suspension unloaded.
