ever been driving down the road, and you somehow spot the other 7 comming down the road, and you catch your self waveing at eachother... and also when your at places like.. at the gas pump and another 7 driver pulls beside of you, and start up a great conversation about our cars... kinda puts a smile on you face!

Thats cool!.. just as I mentioned in another post about waving.
I've noticed other 7's ALOT more during a double overhaul: my car up on stands for a few months awaiting an engine transplant as I recovered from appendicitis

I notice the Rx-7s around here because there's just about none except for mine and a few others. I'm probably the only teen driving one though so I don't think that waving thing will happen.

I've had mine for a month now, and every time I pass another 7, we wave at each other....

I always wave at 1st gen drivers. Theres a papa johns pizza guy that delivers in my area that drives a silver FB. I had seen him drving around town. One day i pulled out of a parking lot next to a house he was delivering to, he must of heard me coming since my exhaust has hella holes, he did a total 180 while i drove by the house, then i stuck my hand out the window and started waving as big as i good, and he waved back.

Ahh.... 7-love

EVERY time i catch a seven in my sight, i give a double honk of the horn. i didnt get the "WTF" look from a huge black guy in a first gen, and theres a cocky guy with a black 3 gen that i waved too going the same direction and he just looked at me and hauled *** i guess trying to race. but it doesnt matter whos driving it, i always honk

I always give the wave to the first gen guys, most return it. Often when I come up behind them they signal to pull over, and we chat and see what under the hood, I point them in the direction of the forum. The coolest guy I met in a first gen looked like he was 70+, he pulled up with his wife. He had her walker in the back ! That's the way I want to be, never let it die.

Once I looked over saw a couple guys in an RX3... Kinda took me a while to figure out what they were driving. Then as we both figured out what each other had, me in an SA, he shot me a thumbs up. I returned the thumb! heheh

i hardly ever see any rx's around here, one guy in my neighbor hood has one but its a peice and he never drives it. whenever i see one i shoot them a big thumbs up.
one time at a gas station i had a guy come up to me and tell me how nice my car was, so i popped the hood and he asked me if it was a 12a or a 13a. i have never talked to a guy outside of a rotary shop that knew what the hell they were talkin about.

Yeah, I've started noticing them more too, but of all the ones I know of, they're all driven by old fogies, except for the 2nd gen down the street which doesn't get run at all, cause my friend refuses to learn how to drive a stick!

so far, i've found that recognition only works one way -1st gen owners acknowledge all other 7s. i suppose it's because if you own a fb either you care about 7s or you're too poor to afford the "more recent" models.

earlier this year i had a fb (turns out from alberta) a couple of lanes over honk and nod at me. ended up pulling away together at the light. that was cool, relative to all the other typical vechiles there. otherwise most times i've seen other rexes, no one but other 1st gen owners will try to make some eye contact. 2nd gens/3rd gens...no chance!

Happens to me all the time, well at least 90% of the time here in Adelaide, Australia. Not just 7's, I'm talking Rx3s, R100's, any Rotary.

Kinda makes you feel good since I don't really know many other cars that have the same friendly attitude towards each other, even though you never met, etc.

At the pumps with another 7? Never happened to me, and with a streetport I'm at the pumps ALOT. I wave to all gens, but most people don't wave back because they don't notice the dope *** third gen coming thier way.
I did get a 1st gen to wave, and it was a special moment for me. I love my car.
