$4000 for a '79? That amount of coin could fetch a nice GSL-SE. Typical Calgary car owners--- the sleazy dealers in this city have given many of the locals an elevated sense of what their cars are worth. Even a loaded showroom-condition '79 with all service records and no accidents isn't worth more than $2500.

 

Just noticed that it's an Edmonton (or northern Alberta) phone #. Even worse considering that Alberta prices are typically lower there than they are in Calgary. Was the appraiser a family member?
