I agree, perhaps the Headlight "eyebrow" would be an easier way to get the look.

 

Blown, I know what you are thinking

"how can I improve this, how can I improve that"

but if you do the lights this way, soon you will add another "not rx7" thing, and it will end up like those integras with mercedes headlights and grill

IMO they are just too small and don't fit with the rest of the front end. I don't care about purity, they just don't look balanced.

 

what about using a sleek headlight kit and a eye brow to change the shape of the light...
