ok here is the specs on this one..
the car drove in the shop with a weber 48 IDA and a racingbeat headeron his freshly streetported 13B motor for a turbo conversion
the car is a 1985
the motor is a 85 4 port 13 b streetport consisting of a 13b SE motor, using 4 port 12a sidehousings.
the intake manifold is a 91 turbo that has been welded up and re-drilled to fit the early 4 port motor.
the turbo is also from a 91 that has been upgraded on the cold side to a t4 housing with a 60 mm compressor wheel(good for 350 hp)
turbo prepped distributor, 2 MSD 6A units, Magnacore ignition wires, with B10EGV spark plugs complete the ignition system
Fuel systen consists of a weber 48 DCO thats been turbo prepped, with a nice ROTARYSHACK turbo plenum sealing it ip.
fuel pump is a stock SE unit that delivers more than enough fuel thats regulated by a mallory #4309 unit(boost refrenced)
exhaust is a 3" custom downpipe thats connected to a 3" straight through magnaflow muffler
non intercooled
this car HAULS *** on 8 psi using 91 octane pump gas

P.S. i spent 6 hours cleaning the engine bay, i wanted to scream!!!!!

P.S.S. thanks to coldy 13 for helping me put up the pics, i forgot how

Engine looks very nice. Did you polish the rotor housings? Little detail work with some wire ties and doneski. What is the car in front of the lift to the left?

Looks very nice. Especially with the Red Accents.

When I'm done with IoTus's car, I'll post what I did with the Throttle cable. I made a bracket and mounted it on the carb hat. The carb hat was the perfect length away from the throttle linkage to mount the bracket. It actually looks good, and you may even want to think about making them like that!! It might save you a little extra time in the long run.

I should have his car running by the end of the week.

By the way, thanks for coming through with all the parts!!

One last thing... where did you get that piece of silicone tubing coming from the turbo up to the pipe that goes over to the carb hat? I think that would probably be better than getting 2 90 degree elbows....

Real nice work Robert. Someday I'd like to drop my REPU off @ your shop for the same deal + intercooler.

What's the anticipated lifespan on that motor?

Glad to see more people using Magnaflow mufflers.

Great Setup,

An intercooler would be nice, but that's nice and
simple.

The pics are gone now..........sounds nice though.

I'm confused---"the motor is a 85 4 port 13 b streetport consisting of a 13b SE motor, using 4 port 12a sidehousings"

So I could take 12a side housings and turn my GSL-SE 6port engine to a 4port? Would I use a 12a manifold when going carb?......so confused

the gsl-se 6port motor can be converted to a 4-port by using the 12-a side plates or the old 13-b 4port plates. And any 4port 13-B intake manifold will bolt right up. now, if you prefer to use a 12-A manifold, there are several places where you can get the "12-A to 13-B adapter plate." Call Rotary Reliability & Racing or Powerhouse engineering (now called www.mazdacomp.com) they run appx $150.

680,
Looking at the GSL-SE, the owner of that car is from R-Power right? I remember Sidepex building his engine.

Always interesting to see what you are up to, Robert.

But when the hell are you going to start selling a "Rotary Rodent" T-shirt. How is your mascot, anyway?

Yo Robert... very nice project, but when does the NOS get put in?
I can't figure out if its manual or auto like others have mentioned. What is it?
Hope there is a nice set of tires on there to control that monster!
I need that carb, whats up with the credit card machine?
