Question rotary rookie

Hey everyone. i have been cruising these boards for a little while now trying to learn some stuff on rx7's. my dad bought a 1979 rx7 in the same year and its been with us since then. the car has been mine since i was 16, 3 years now. it was only my daily driver for about 4 months then i got a new car due to scholastic achievment(at least thats how i convinced my mom to get me a car). the rx gets driven about 3 times a month by either me of my dad. the eninge has over 200,000 thousand miles on it(one rebuild). ive decided to turn the car into a street and track quarter mile racer and am interested in doing a TII 13b swap. i did a search on the swap and found out a lot of information, but, and i know you guys always answer this question, i was wondering if someone could just list everything i would need to do the swap. i have a four speed manual, so i would be interested in doing a tranny swap as well. my friend is gonna do the swap for me, since he knows a hell of a lot more about cars than i do. the best part is he is doing it for free. but he says i have to have all the parts together because he doesnt want to put it together, take it apart and so on. Thanks for the help guys. i plan on finishing the swap by feb 20th or so, that is if i can get some help here. again thanks.

im tempted to drop in a tII motor too. im thinkin a street ported 12a would be much easier and cheaper though.

Wow, two-hundred million miles on one rebuild? I want that rebuilder's name!!

Just kidding.. I had to say it..

I would do a search on here for 13bt if you want to do a turboII swap (the 13b turbo engine from 2nd gen RX-7's) You can buy that engine for $850 - $950 from mazdacomp (I was given suggestions to go with the later engine that costs $950, so you would probably want to do the same).

I know little bit about this swap never did it but thought about it. You need a 13b with all the wire harness and ecu for fuel injections and the gsl0se motor mounts to make it real easy. and that are a few things i know about this swap.

my 2 cents
