Road trip to pick up my 79.

I bought KenA's 79 from Fire85GSLSE and went to pick it up on saturday. My boss man had bought a ML 320 in Lexinton KY and I needed to pick up the 79 below Nashville TN, so we made a big day of it by getting his car and then mine.
Started in ATl at 7:00am and were back to the starting point by 12:15am. approx 900 miles in one day.
The car was fun to drive and is getting almost 20 MPG. with the following done to it.
Streetported with new rotors and lapped/flame sprayed housings
Built by Downing/Atlanta Engine builder Rick Engman. Weber 48DCO-SP
Weber Sidedraft Manifold
Racing Beat SS Header
2.5 Inch exhaust
81 Distributor with New Plugs and Wires
There is a problem with the brakes. They got lower the more I used them. But I am sure I can fix it.
The best news is that in 2004, a 79 car will not require emissions testing to get a tag.

Not bad, niot bad at all. Do yourself a favor and get a shroud for that fan though. Aside from that, all you need is a header panel and a proper '79 fender and you're off to the races!

The shroud is in the back. But it did not need it, it came up to temp and stayed there. 150 miles at 75.
I have an electric that I will put on it.
I do need a fender, the header panel, an entire headlight assemble and a hood. It will also need time on a frame machine or a front clip.
I really like the shifter on the 79. it feels like a herst from an old dodge. But the light switch is real strange. It will take a while to get used to.
When we stoped for fireworks, after I bought them I went to put them in the storage bin, and guess what, No storage bins, That will have to change.
