Rims and Tires Question (SE)

I'm looking at upgrading my rims from the stock SE. 4x114.3 14x5.5 +45mm with a 205 60r tire. I want to have a wider variety of tire to choose from because all I can find at the moment are Hoosier R6s which are slicks.

I'm looking at the Enkei RPF1 16x7 with the 43 offset. Enkei RPF1 16x7 +43 4x114.3
I'm on RB springs and KYB shocks so its lowered slightly from stock. I've looked around the forum and found similar posts but there weren't any definitive answers. And yes, I've taken a look at the tire and rim calculators but I'm not quite getting the picture in my head of what they'll look like and how they'll fit inside the wheel well.

My wheels are 15x7 +20. I think theyre perfect fitting for 1st gens. theyre almost flush with the lip of the well. figure your wheels will tuck in almost an inch more than mine. I would get a different offset or run a 1" spacer. Ive been eying the same wheels, but i would have to run adapters

I've got 15x7's on my SE with 205/55-15 tires. Fills in the wheel wells nicely compared to the stock 14's.

It's the offset that you'll want to pay attention to - any LESS than about 40mm (in 7" width) and you're looking at problems with fender fitment, i.e., will need to roll the fenders to prevent tire shoulder cutting. Also, be aware that running spacers can put strange loads on the lug nuts and studs - for something as important as keeping your wheels on your car, I would be very cautious about running spacers.
