reupholstered cloth seats?

so here's the deal... i was taken for a spin in a '93 R1 last weekend and i was very impressed with the suede textured seat and how well it gripped my backside. MUCH better than the slippery leather in my GSL-SE.

so here's my question. has anyone had their seats reupholtered? i was thinking of getting the center section of some S2 cloth seats upholstered with a suede texture material. it would be bitchin'.

but how expensive would an operation like that cost, and where should i be looking for a person or place that could do it?

Why bother reupholstering, when TII seats fits the original frames, for half the price. Plus, the TII seats are really nice and "sticky"!

I'd expect to pay $300 - $500 for both seats to be recovered and have some foam rebuild / repair; at least for a good job. There are so many options, though. Ask around at your local speedshops for reference.

I just put 3rd gen R1 seats in my 1st gen. It took some fab work on the rails but worked out great. I think I paid about $200 for the seats.
