Unhappy Retarded Suspension Q

okay, so the GSLSE just got its new to me wheels. set of datsun 280zx wheels that look good on the car, nice 1/2inch sticking out of the fender wheels. looks good. anyway, the ride height of the car looks retarded now because of the dished style the wheels have.

i was looking at the ST spring set in the catalog formally known as victoria british, considering they arent a finacial burden (other FB taking up money) and they arent a huge increase in spring rate as the car is street driven daily. but that isnt the problem. the choice for replacement strut is. i dont want to spend alot of money on high prefromance ones. but i figured that stock replacements wont. last.

Can the GR2s handle the extra 10% spring rate and reduce ride height? or what is the smarter option given that i dont want to spend alot on high end options. reiterated, i dont want my new struts dying after a month.

the gr2s cant handle the stock springs, you're better off with 25 year old stock shocks than those things.

I agree, I had a set in my car before I isntalled my Tokico Blues and they were abysmal. The Tokicos are far improved and aren't much more expensive. Go with them.

The 300ZX's have the 4x114.3 and 5x114.3 pattern that the SE's and 2nd gens have. Not sure about the offset though. I have both sets here if someone is dying for a measurement, or you can visit. the Z forum. http://www.300zxclub.com/index.php? They have a very good faq section.
