Replacement Fan

Hey I was wondering what you guys who have replaced your fans went with. Did you replace it with a OEM style fan or did you upgrade to an electric fan? If you upgraded did you wire in a switch or how did you decide to control it?

I am asking because my fan got damaged and is not straight anymore so I have been looking to replace it but I can only find electric fan blades that fit the car.

Still have the stock fan, doing its job at 42yrs/110K miles. That said I will replace the fluid-coupled drive assy. Easier said than done on an SA, since OE unit is NLA! BUT - my rotor-guru pointed me to the laster (and still avai for about $225) drives, which can be adapted ( he sez - I have the parts but not made the Swap) to work on the SA set-up. Others here have commented that, working correctly, the viscous-drive fans still provide the best cooling performance. Of course, if a thicker after-market rad is being used, space may not permit the original fan to be used??

If yours is bent, no fixing that. I just rebuilt my viscous clutch fan and it works amazing. Even though it was working, they seep the silicone oil out and under perform.
