Putting it into the car won't be a huge deal. Getting it to work properly is a whole other thing...
I like the idea of doing such a swap, but can't see the point if you're looking at it from a more logic point of view. The renesis engine has't got any more power then a TII but it'll be much more complicated and expensive.
And as stated earlier: using only the bare block is pointless, as it's hardly different.
If you have the money and the will to do this go for it and we will all support you and enjoy the progress But if you need a quick way of gaining power: TII or even REW is going to be much cheaper and easier.

AHAHAHAHAHA wikipedia. clearly the most reliable source of information on the planet. While it wouldn't surprise me if there was in fact that 10HP difference (as many JDM cars do have more HP than USDM spec), come on man. Wikipedia?

Yea still funny. Wikipedia. AHAHAHA. Try citing that on a thesis/assignment/term paper or anything for that matter. See how your marks/evaluations end up.
And what is your source for the JDM models? All I see are canadian/USDM spec values.

Yeah, but that's in Mazda horsepower. 232 MHP seems to equal around 180 WHP, according to the RX-8 owners. Pretty good, but nothing a streetported S5 motor couldn't deliver for much less hassle and money.

If that's what you choose to believe, go ahead. Dyno sheets don't lie. The guys on rx8club aren't making that even with intake and exhaust mods.
