Removing throttle cable from firewall (GSL-SE)

I'm wanting to remove my throttle cable as I purchased a new setup. It was easy enough to disconnect the cable from the pedal, but I cannot figure out how to remove it from the firewall. I've read that it's a 4 sided clip, but how the hell are you supposed to remove it when it's behind the dashboard?? I can get my fingers on it, but that's obviously not enough to depress the clip...

Anyone done this before?

I have always used needle nose pliers, take the drivers seat out and lay in the floor if you are having trouble.

Well, I decided to just man handle it through the firewall after giving up on the finesse route. It worked, eventually. It isn't pretty, but I don't need the piece anymore regardless.
