Removing rear bins?

This may be a stupid question, but how do I remove them? I unfastened all of the retaining screws but there seems to be a light switch on each of them that I can't figure out how to remove? I'm trying to remove the entire rear carpet as it has somewhat disintegrated sadly.

On a related note, I keep getting water accumulation in the hatch area of the car. The hatch seals aren't perfect, but they don't look bad enough for the amount of water I keep finding under the rear carpet. Any ideas?

The light switch unplugs and comes out with the bins. You will have to work with the bins to get them out, the bottom carpet pieces will have to be compressed a little to get through the opening.

The water in your hatch area may be coming from the rubber hoses that drain the area around the hatch seal where the water accumulates. There are three of them. They come through the inside and if they dry rot or come loose they can leak into the car.
