Ok, so both my outside mirrors vibrate like an electric ***** when I go over rough roads, and its beginning to get annoying. I can wiggle them with my hand, so they're pretty loose (maybe 5 degrees of play). I'm talking about where they attach to the door, by the way. What is the best way to solve this problem, and how do I get at the mounting mechanism?
I had a problem with my passenger side power mirror. Here's what I did:
-remove the two screws under the mirror assembly
-unplug the connector to the motor and remove the mirror
-tighten the two screws that hold the arm to the door
It wurked fer me!

Sounds like a plan man. Just be sure to not strip out the screws under the mirror. They metal gets soft after time. Ive been to many yards looking for a mirror to replace my bent up one, and most of the people have stripped out the one screw thats at an odd angle. I had to use a stripped screw removal tool thing to get the damn mirror off my parts car.

About the screws in the base. I cannot get mine to tighten any further and the mirror is still loose, thereby vibrating as mentioned above

Is there something inside there to make the screws stop?
