OH Removing back springs?gsl-se

Iv never messes with a suspension set up like the one on my 7. (the shock and spring are separate) how do you go about getting the spring off in the back? do i take off the shock and compress the spring then slid it out?

Jack her up, undo the shock at the base, lower the rear axle then slide the spring out when its at full droop.

Make sure you use a floor jack under the rear axle that will go low enough. I just replaced the rear springs in my GSL-SE yesterday and used a bottle jack, which didn't work; had to switch to a floor jack. Live and learn they say.
