Removeing dash cap for an 83

I ahve looked at removweing the dashcap in the archived thread but there both for 84+85 models and frm the pcitures its a different dash than mine. I pulled the dash out iof my parts car to get the middle air vents (mine r busted) and i ended up bending the **** out of the dash and was just more of a pain in the *** than anything.. I dont want to try to do it the same way because well... i dont know how to get it out w/o bending it soooo does anyone know of a write up w/ pics for 83 models?

Use the one you removed to find those hidden screws. It is not a bad job if you go slow and control your temper (because yes, it is a PINA). I assure you my wires are not routed the same as they were due to the way the factory installed it. Just go slow and be careful of the screws holding on the ducts as well as the center section - I reached those but with the small palm size screwdriver.

I spent hours finding a way to "fix" the center vents, mine are intact but I wish they were available new.
