Sure you can. Cut them unequal lengths so they won't short out against one another when the insulation shrinks and exposes a bit of wire, then tape them over.
What arrangement do you have for a crankcase breather, and tank purge line? -WG

Airflow is my life
You MUST keep the vent solenoid connected!
For a breather setup, just plumb it like stock. Follow the instructions here

im not jumping on any specific person case..i know what ive read and what ive been told...none was more helpfull than
I guess what im trying to get at is if you are not 100% sure how to do something or havent done it yourself you shouldnt be talking out your a$$ trying to help someone..thats all i gadda say for now..i have alot of parts i need to get and work that needs to be done. someone should post http://maz_tutorials.totalimmage.com/
as a sticky its been so helpfull and would cut back on the "Why dont you search for "rat nest removal" this topic was covers last week" it would save people alot of time and agervation

The tank needs to be purged of air to keep it in an over-rich condition so it doesn't blow up when the sending unit inside the tank arcs (which is normal). Scary, huh?
On my '80, I connected the tank purge line directly to the hose coming from the carbon canister in the top of the air cleaner housing. I'm still experimenting with ways to vent the crankcase. I currently have the PCV valve in the intake manifold connected directly to the oil filler tube with the other connection on the center housing left open. I don't think this is the proper way to do this, but so far it has worked okay. The tutorial mentioned is too damn big and takes too long to download with a 56K modem. I had some other problem downloading it which escapes my mind at the moment.
I'm not that good with computers, so maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know. Happy New Year to all of ya'! -WG

Maybe one of these days, we'll have enough chapters to merit publication. I wouldn't mind a sticky to the page (really, honest ), however, until there's more than the rats nest up there, it would only be an uncessary sticky. Maybe soon™.
