If I remove the smog pump and belt,What do I use for a cover for the hole? is there a hole? If I install an electric fan what regulates it?:lonesomebob

The smog pump is mounted with 2 bolts and bracket. There is 1 air supply hose that comes from the air cleaner, and 1 discharge hose that connects to the ACV.

I you are talking about removing the ACV (air control valve) then you can buy a block off plate of make one out of a heavy gauge metal.
BTW, if removing all of this, your cat. converter needs to be removed as well.

Electric fan.... You can put it on a manual switch, buy a fan with a thermostat control box, or wire it off the accessory side of the ignition switch. BTW, run this off a relay, which will keeping your from feeding 30amp thru a switch.

why do you have to remove the cat. converter if you remove the smog pump. its not that i want it there or anything. i just don't want to pay a muffler guy money to remove it.

The reason the smog pump is on your car it to pump the extra air into the cat. converter. You remove the pump you will destroy you converter, risking the chance of plugging it up and leaving stranded.... or worse the damn thing gets so hot its catches your car on fire.
