Question Removable vaccum thingys? from -SE

I really need a shop manual.
I can't figure out what these are for, and/or if I need them now since I took off the air pump and AVC.
Except for the headers, this engine is relatively stock with the EGI. Out of a '84 -SE

2 are a Blue and the other Grey electrical connectors going to what appear to be vaccum switches? The air lines route to the lower intake where the AVC connects to. In this picture you can see the air line routing to the where the AVC was. See the yellow duct tape at the bottom part of the image.

The other item is connected to the above two by another vaccum line. The screw driver is pointing to it. Kinda reminds me of a black pacifier. Left side of image.

Since the AVC is gone, can I get rid of these things and plug the air inlets?

-----
side note: I connected a hose to the port actuators and blew real hard into it. They rotate!!! but man that took some work on my part to do. The action is very smooth.

My 84 se does not have these plugs. I will double check though.

I should have added that they are normally mounted on the firewall near the cruise control unit at the top of your image. Since my engine is in the process of being installed in the MG, I didn't mount them yet.

But if you follow the twin air lines from the intake just above the AVC, then those tubes should lead you to them. Since the AVC is gone, I don't see how these things would function.

I looked in an '87 Shop Manual and found it. At least I think it's close enough to the -SE that they should be the same things. Blue and Grey solenoids, their vaccum lines lead to the ACV.

They operate two of the three valves within the ACV.
The blue one is the Relief Valve solenoid,
the grey one is the Switching Valve solenoid.

With the ACV gone, then these things are absolutely useless.
