I had the power antenna replaced on my 1985 GSL and now the rear defroster and rear wiper no longer work.

The dash light for the rear defoster still lights up.

The rear washer fluid motor still works when I turn the rear wiper switch to the "washer-on" position.

All the fuses are good. All of the wires seem to be connected properly on the rear window.

I have limited knowledge about electronics, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

On the right rear hatch support shock is the connector for your rear wiper/defroster. It may look like it is connecting "together" when you close the hatch (the wipers won't work with the hatch opened-it breaks the connection). It probably just needs a little nudge from you.

interesting... because i also removed my power antenna recently.. then i noticed my rear wiper doesnt work.. but i hadn't ever tried it before.. wonder if it's related.
