Rear just ate it on my 83 GS, need donor
found an 82 GSL rear but am wondering what else do i need, do i need the driveshaft?
i know i need the poprtional valve and master cylinder, and as many lines as possible for the hand brake and all, but am i overlooking something?

I got a 84 GSL rear on my 85... I didnt change the master cylinder or anything and it seems fine...
I think the pinion flange will need to be swapped from your 83 to the 82 rear end and you will need the e brake cables from the axle. Other than that you should be ok.

Ill have to look at the third member tomarrow, but i think its fine after the look around tonight with th elighter... Alls i know is I need this fixed ASAP seeing as its my DD right now, and with school and all this sux bad,
so i dont need the mstr cyl or port valve?

I didnt change mine, it had no problem stopping the car at about 115 mph... Just got to remember stock brakes are good for maybe 1 stop like that and then afterwards they require a LONG TIME to cool down, not to mention better be running better than stock pads...
