Rear hatch seal replacement

Any tips/tricks to replace hatch seal. Mine is 24 years old. Is it as easy as the doors. Thanks

I pulled one off the other day to sale. It was very easy. There was a place or two of glue but it was stickey and not solid. I just grabed an edge and pulled it up.

Yea just pull it off and press the new one on. Its just a channel type deal that fits over the metal edge.

While you have the seal off, be sure to look for rust especially at the bottom of the hatch. It is a good idea to clean out and rinse water down the drain ports also. It is far easier to remove the hatch support bolts than the hatch hinges on the roof in order to fit the seal on the car.
