I am looking for the 2 external parts of the rear hatch latch of a 1985 RX-7 GS. It appears that the 2 bolts that hold the internal and external latch parts together loosened up until the latch parts separated and the external parts got left on the road somewhere. I have tried links listed in the FAQ for finding the parts but they don't seem to have them.

According to the Mazda 1984-85 Parts Manual, page 2-L8, Back Door Mechanism, they are part #: 62365 desc. Nut, Striker and part#: 62366, Shim "A", Striker.

Anyone who knows where I can find these, the help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Doc. I already did and they have the shim but not the nut, striker.

It kind of surprizes me that the parts are that hard to find.

 

You probably could get them from Mazda, but probably your best bet is to post a WTB ad in the 1st gen classifieds on here.
