Rear end problems

Well, I found out my drivers side wheel bearing is bad and the seal is leaking. Beyond this, I feel like my LSD hasn't been performing to well lately. I checked the oil level and it is still good, but I can't seem to slide the car like I used to. Infact, at my last autocross I had no oversteer whatsoever. Whenever I got on the gas the inside wheel would spin. When I first got my car it was all I could do to keep it pointed straight, and I could always chirp going into second. Now it is not possible.

Assuming the problems are unrelated, how hard is it to replace the wheel bearings? And is it possible and feasible to rebuild the differential? How do I do a break-away test and where should I be at?

the clutches may be shot. jack up one of the rear wheels and see how easy it is to turn it with the other one on the ground.

Yeah I figured that. Are the clutches feasibly replaceable, and how are are the wheelbearings to replace?

Awesome, thanks! Turns out those clutches are too expensive afterall. And now I can get more performance

So what should the breakaway spec be for a good stock diff? And what special knowledge/tools are needed to replace these bearings and clutches?

There's a thread in the archives by Steve84GS covering rebuilding the lsd diff. FSM also covers that and the axle bearing R&R. I couldn't find it in the FSM but I want to say breakaway is 80-90 lb/ft.
