Rear Drums

So has any one ever tried using 81-85 drums on a 79-80.
I just found notes showing part number research I did and there was part number overlap .

If the drums mount and are too big radius wise then we are **** out of luck. if they mount and are too small we can always lathe them.

Edit . If you look at the specs , they are near indentical
1.5 in vs 1.5 in
0.312 in vs 0.310
0.370 vs 0.369 in
a piece of paper is 0.004 inches ..
unless I'm dumb , arent these the EXACT same drums just " different by tolerances of a hundredth of an inch .

...writhin a few THOUSANDTHS of an inch. I'd say they're identical.

Woops , I forget when you go past the decimal its tenths hundreds thousands 😅.
But seriously why have we been saying for years that we have no drums for SA's when we do ? Is it because of a lip on the dust shield ?
