Rear disc conversion for '84 GS - what to get (ReSpeed kit is for <83?)

I've got an '84 GS and would really like to convert the rear to disc, because everyone knows drums stop okay but are the world's biggest PITA to work on. I know ReSpeed sells adapter brackets for the earlier <83 cars that just let you bolt the **** on and run with it. Since I have an '84 with the big axles, what are my options? Do I have to find a complete axle assy, or is it something that can be parts-binned - or will the ReSpeed kit work?

im pretty sure it wont work. (if it did he would list it for 84/85 too lol) you'd probably be better off to sorce a gsl rear end that already has the rear disk brakes. Not only that, but with a gsl rear end you'll also have LSD which is much better.

You need to get a complete GSL rear, but as mentioned above that also gives you LSD and it's not very difficult to swap...
