Rear axle clunks under power???

Rear axle clunks under power???
Ok its a GSL, so my new solid control arms are in and i thought the clunk i was hearing was my sway bar but i was wrong the rear end clunks everytime i hit the gas as if something is loose i might have to get a new 3rd member but if anyone knows a easy fix let me know i do have a gs axle i can scrap so hit me with ideas!

it could be but im almost positive it the differential there is a gear lube on my gas tank but none on the diff so i think its the differential input shaft i know it has a nut and ill see if it just needs to be tightened but anything else we can think of

I guess ill crawl under and give everything a spin and see what the drive-shaft feels like
i know when i had the tires in the air when i moved the wheels it made that clunk so its binding somewhere.

Yeah, sounds like U-joints or possibly gear lash. Good luck Nick.

You're not going to be able to tighten that nut. If it's not a u-joint you'll need to remove the chunk and may be able to adjust the lash out of it. The procedure is described in Haynes man.
