Re-wiring and wiring tucking questions
I need some help on an issue I just can't comprehend with rewiring my alternator harness. In regards to the "T" connector going to the alternator . Top of "T" is the black/white 12v ign switch and the leg of "T" is the white/black goes to the choke relay then from there turns into a yellow/blue to the "batt indicator". My plan is to remove the choke relay and rewire the alternator. My issue is the leg of the "T" white/black wire.... is that wire necessary? Reason I ask is because I unplugged the white/black wire while the car was running and found nothing different. Charging fine, no batt indicator light on, it seemed like the car would run fine without it. Is this true or am I missing something ? Also, which way is the current going on the leg of the "T" connector white/black? From the wiring diagram it looks like both wires on the "T" connector b/w and w/b send + voltage to the alternator?
Another questioned I had was if anyone has wire tucked the harness on the driverside? If so, I was wondering the easiest way of going about it? It doesn't look like the harness can be removed from the fuse box. It looks like I would either have to cut and rewire the whole harness or free the whole harness feed it back into the firewall then re-route it thru the fender. Cut and rewire or feed it in then out?
