I personally couldn't think of a good way to do it as such while having it on there in a really secure way, and not having to worry about scratching the paint over time by putting it on and off.

Putting it on and taking it off only requires 10 minutes though. But I do know what your trying to do.

Perhaps a way that could clip to the mirror and the door edge along the window?

They're up on the website right now for pre-ordering

http://mrcmfg.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=112_159

Just remember that we won't see the batch of them till the end of this week. I have listed them as singles only for driver side and as a pair.

I did a search a while back. I found a link that said billy wont put it on the site but that he does offer a bracket to allow the removal of the headlight motors. all it is is a bar to raise and lower the lights.

Also, I will need your phone number in my pm box later to order a ton of parts from you again. I still have a few measurements to make before I go forward though.

Ah those pieces, I'll have to talk to Billy and see if he still has the designs for them. I've been pondering on another idea for those though .

Both the shop and cell phone number are listed on the websites' "contact us" area just so you are aware.

I'm sure it nothing a dab of silicone in that hole can't fix though. Your doors mirrors might of been hit in the past or tweaked creating a gap inbetween there. Or do you have the plastic piece inbetween the door and mirror removed?
Haha its actually a buddys car, a rock had hit the side of the mirror houseing and put a small hole that makes a really loud wiffle sound

Sam if I get you pictures of his old project car I am pretty sure that this kit is installed there. It completely removes the motors and they are replaced with a hand operated single link. when you want the headlights up you have to open the hood and change the link location.

If you could operate that system with a cable from inside the car, that would be about perfect I think...

My scout II had vents on the kick panels in about the same spot our 4 inch speakers go that you pulled with a little lever and cable. i bet if it were feasible to get the pull and twist to lock style cable / lever one could probly' rig one to work pretty good for that. just put a spring on the headlight buckets to keep tension so they would return to close.

Not quite relevant to this thread but is to Re-Speed. Have you considered making some form of proper fitting trim (like brushed Al) to allow for mounting standard gauges above the stereo, or even include a proper sized cutout to fit a DIN size stereo?

Guess I am not the only one who puts their hand there to blow air into the car. I will be buying a set of these soon.
