RE-EGI qs - throttlebody plates

RE-EGI qs - throttlebody plates
on the RE-EGI setup, if you're looking into the throttle body there are 3 throttle plates, and then two other plates up front, what're these for? My book isn't too elaborate on the EGI setup....
