RB rebuild kit quality
I am going to be rebuilding my 12a sometime before spring and was shopping around for rebuild kits. I found one from RB that comes with carbon seals. I have hurred some less then desirable things about carbon apex seals and would like a second opinion. If anyone could suggest a better kit please do tell

Get the RB kit that has the regular seals, not the carbon ones.
Carbon apex seals are race-only. They don't seal well at low rpms and are meant for engines that spend the vast majority of their life really high up in the rpms for extended durations.
The RB kit is good, so is the one from atkinsrotary.com . I've also heard good things about the one from rotaryaviation. RB is probably as close to a stock rebuild kit as you'll get without ordering everything one part at a time from Mazda. The atkins one comes with 3rd gen corner seal springs and (optionally) solid corner seals. The apex seals in the atkins one aren't mazda stock, I believe they're a little softer, but I don't know for sure, haven't heard anything but good about their kits though.
