Radio wiring?

DISCLAIMER: I've been searching for 4 days trying to find decent CAR pictures and wiring hints, all I can find are diagrams. I know what wire does what, I want to know WHERE to run them.

I've decided to do a complete rewire to my rear speakers (with new speakers and deck.) I don't want to run front speakers since I don't like to listen to music with my ankles. That said, where should I run the new wire to get to the back speakers?

I've torn out the stock deck, but haven't had the time to try and trace the ancient speaker wiring.

my speaker wiring runs along the passenger side (under the carpet) into the bins. The bin behind the driver runs the rear speakers, and from the bin they just go under the carpet and in to the rear walls where the speakers are mounted. You can basically put the wires anywhere you want, just hide them under the carpet.

I see you're in the twin cities area... You wouldn't be willing/able to help would you? I'm knew to all this car audio ****. I just bought myself a cheap deck and speakers to replace the horribly failing stock system. Didn't expect it to be this difficult.

Also, where are the stock wires run to/from? Need I remove them?

it's really not difficult. the wiring can be run either down the middle of the car under the carpet or down each side under the plastic molding, think it's call threshold molding. it's what holds the edge of the carpet down just inside the door. and even tho they're at ur "ankles", u can actually hear the speakers that's in the front kick panels. or u can do like some and put them in the doors. a car really needs both front and rear speakers.

The wiring diagram books also have what are called "locator diagrams" in them... and they show where all the wire looms go, and the location of each connector.

If you find the connectors for the systems you are working on, it's a pretty easy "connect the dots" to see where the looms are run.

Sure Im always down for helping a fellow 7 owner. Unfortunately my audio system was touched inappropriately by best buy when the previous owner has an after market deck and speakers put in. But we can i do know which wires are going what behind the radio.

Shoot me a PM with your cell # and I'll text you sometime. It'll be nice to have another fellow FB owner in the mix. Theres about 5 of us 7 owners that hang out regularly and work on our cars. One of us has a monster ported 13B build in progress lol

As far as pulling stock wires, no need, its easier just to tie in to whats there rather than pulling new wires where we can.
