hey i have a gsl se and im having a problem with my radio. the buttons light up and the antenna goes up and down but the radio wont turn on, or the tape player wont work either what should i do???

 

Check all connections.

I'll assume all pertinent fuses have been replaced, not just looked at.

Radio and tape player problems "may" be two separate issues, even if they are combined into one unit.

1. Has the radio and/or tape player "ever" worked since you've had it?

2. If they did, what have you done or modded since then?

3. If they didn't, did you check to see if you actually have speakers? (Maybe removed by previous owner...ha ha)

4. Is the volume turned up? (bigger ha ha)

5. Does it "click" when you turn it on? Do you get static or anything?

6. Is the power connection you checked actually "hot"? How did you check it?

7. Is it grounded?

I know some of these questions sound silly but I'm just trying to help you troubleshoot.

If the Radio lights up check the speaker wires.

 

like when i turn on my parking lights the lights from the radio work but it never turns on, i got the car with the radio not working
