Radio no workie (aka: dealerships suck)

Here's the story on how it got this way; last fall I had my car taken to the dealership to get the compression checked (BIG MISTAKE $$$). When I got it back, I went to drive it out of the parking lot and when shifting into first, the shifter ****, which was firmly attached when I left it, fell off in my hand. I picked it up off the floor and screwed it in.

As I take off from the lot I go to turn on my radio expecting to hear the sweet sound of music in my ears, and got nothing. The radio didn't turn on the antenna went up but the radio itself didn't turn on.

Now, I was planning on replacing the radio soon anyway so i'm not too upset about having to figure out why it doesn't work, but the stupid SOB's should have at least TOLD me that the f'd up my radio.

*sigh* I'm never, ever going to that dealership (McGreevy's Mazda) again.

Anyway, what do you guys think the problem is? They shouldn't have been in the dashboard for anything, so I don't think that they unplugged it, and the fuse isn't blown.

I will probably be taking the radio out once I recieve my dash kit from rotorhead.ca so I will know then.

Thanks for any help!

I would have except for the fact it barely stayed running long wough to get home, now its too late, I didn't think much about it and just assumed it was a fuse.

I really don't want them within 100 yards of it.

I really don't know why they took off the shift **** but their answer would have been something like "that was the way it was when we got it." Those places will never admit guilt to such things that would be bad for their rep.

Oh, well life moves on.
