Radio installation question

Hey everyone, I just got a new radio for my RX7. It's the same size and everything as the old one, but I'm just having trouble getting the silver cover off so I can get to the radio. I unscrewed all of the screws, and now the only thing holding the cover on is the levers for the heat and fans/vents. Is there any way to get the cover off without having to take the dashboard off?

Thanks

Side note: this will be the first time I've installed a car radio...

the two ***** for the heat and vent just pop right off. Just pull on them lightly.

Might be an SA/FB difference, then; SA *****, no screws.

Have you removed the shifter surround plate and the two screws holding the bottom of the stereo surround?

I pulled really hard on the *****, and they came off. Tried it earlier, but thought they just weren't supposed to come off. Guess 28 years of them being on there made them really hard to pull off LOL. Thanks guys
