I put it in tonight, and filled it up. It seems much shorter than the other one, but thicker (two core?) Its mounted ok but the fan shroud idnt lining up, can I just get one from an 83 and be all set?

Ok, if its a shorter radiator chances are it was changed. Here is why:
79-82 ran a short 2 core (some 3 core) radiator cause the oil cooler was mounted underneith.

83-85 all ran a taller 2 core radiator cause the oil cooler was under the oil filter, but the -SE had a oil cooler in front of the radiator.

So you will need a shroud that fits the style of raditor you have. I have a '83 but a short radiator cause I put in the early style oil cooler, and threw away the one under the oil filter.
