rad repair question

I went for a 2 hour mountain drive today, and when i got back i was leaking coolant, so, i went to the store bought some stop leak, poured it in, but it didn't help, i found the hole, its actually spraying out of the front. Its a very small hole, I was thinking that i could just pinch that whole line shut before and after the hole with some pliers. would it work, or am i gonna have to go and spend another 80 bucks at the rad shop again?

Have it soldered. Cooling is muy important in rotaries. Besides, crimping it wont stop it, might slow it down though.

My top tank was leaking at the seam. It cost $56. It held up for almost a year. I guess I've got to get it resoldered soon.

Immediately flush your coolant system and get all of that stop leak out of there. That is real bad stuff for a rotary that already has coolant flow issues in its internal passages. Here is the economical route and it works. There is stuff, not JBWeld, called Plasti-steel or something silly like that. It's a single stick of clay-like compound that is dark in the center and light colored-grey surrounding that dark core. Clean the area around the hole or crack or fracture on the radiator and scuff the metal after all the paint is removed. You simply pinch off some of this stuff, knead it for a bit to blend the two, and then work it onto the area of the damage and about a 1/2" outward in all directions of the damage. Let it sit overnight and the problem is fixed. I've saved two radiators with the stuff. Now, if I could only stop totaling the cars around the radiators, I'd be set...
