racing beat road race header install

in the instructions to install my racing beat header it says to use a high temp silicone on the flanges.
is it supposed to be used like a gasket dressing?
can hylomar hpf gasket sealer/dressing be used instead?
or can somebody recommend what to use?

I don't think hylomar would last long on an exhaust flange..... I'm sure you could find high temp silicone at a parts store.

sorry for not helping much.

I used some copper-silicon gasket maker (I think that's what it was). It's designed for extra high temperature situations... Didn't torque anything, just tightened them till I thought enough--haven't had any problems at all.

Does anyone know the specs to torque the bolts on the header, road race header flange, and muffler?
