Racing beat intake

I was thinking about getting it... Does it improve performance?

The power pulse air box? Or the actual intake manifold?

It works, it allows more air flow. There's also the kit that "rx7.com" sells....or you can just go to Home Depot and ghetto rig your own like I did when I had my 12a motor.

i have the rb air canister and yeah it might help the flow some but the air supply is coming off around the engine and some off the headers. yeah if you put a heat sheild in its going to minimize the heat but its still warm air. personally i think if you make one to duct the air out to a cooler supply youll benifit more, even with out the extra air flow from the racing beat canister, because more air molecules will enter the car if its cooler air then warmer air. im throwing my racingbeat canister away as soon as i make my new duct system, its just a carberator so cooler air is more air and the flow from the racing beat canister my make some difference and might not. this is just my opinion so you still got to make your on decision, some people might agree with me and some might not its ok.

I have the power pulse assembly as well as the intake manifold from RB. I am happy with the performance increase but I believe it is solely from the intake manifold. The power pulse does allow more air but as robs seven says, it is warm air ( even with the heat shield ) Before I put the power pulse on I had run a K&N with a dryer vent line off the original air assembly canister into the side of the radiator shroud for a pretty good intake setup. I noticed a difference with that more than the power pulse. I wouldn't do the power pulse unless you are doing the intake as well.
