I was referencing Aaron Cake's cosmo rebuild. If you do a search on YouTube you'll find he's got like 20 parts to it. Neat stuff with lots of useful information. You can see what I mean about the pitting in my build thread. It's called " My 79 "barn find" project" on the 1st gen build threads section.

I kinda thought the same thing Jeff20B, but "some pitting" is fairly subjective and I haven't been able to get a rotary sensei to tell me how much pitting they've been able to successfully rebuild with. I'd hate to make a $1,300 mistake.

With that said, it would be interesting to see what the OP's irons turn out like when polished, and I really hope they're perfectly usable. It would give me hope that there actually are good 12A irons out there!
