A Quick questions about dlidfis
I was reading a very well considering installing the dlidfis on my car. Recently I have been having troubles with the ignition and I always wanted to do a upgrade. However there is one thing I just want to make sure of. I could use the GM HEI ignitors with this correct? Also I found a how-to on it but again, I want to be completely positive so I don't fry my electricals, I would follow the normal wiring diagram as with using J-109's but the only difference is with the GM HEI's I would use the following legend:
G-Red wire
W-Green
B-Positive
C-Negative
Is this all correct?

I think that's correct. I can never remember the wire polarity with GM HEI ignitors.
Yes, GM HEIs work great for DLIDFIS on stock and aftermarket coils. They handle 5 or 6 amps before going into current limit mode (sending heat into the heat sink) and J-109s can only handle 3 amps.
I had a picture around here showing which color wire goes to which terminal...

Found it.
The red and green wires at the top are what you're looking for.
Have you figured out a way to get the pickup signal out of your dizzy? You never want to cut any wires. My solution was to file down a couple of quick disconnects until they fit in snug, then bend them up. They never fall out. For example, I used these two seen here on the project pictured above. The unfiled one is for comparison.
